Learning to dance in the rain ...

Rainy Days are upon us again here on the Southwest Coast of Florida. I used to think that the rainy weather would put a soggy end to my day, only to discover life is more exciting when playing in the rain. The only thing that scares me about the rain is the lightening.

Red Sky At Night

Red Sky at night, a sailor's delight. Red sky in the morning, a sailor's warning. While some believe it to be an old wives tale, it does hold some truth.

Red sky at night, sailors delight.
When we see a red sky at night, this means that the setting sun is sending its light through a high concentration of dust particles. This usually indicates high pressure and stable air coming in from the west. Basically good weather will follow.

Red sky in morning, sailor’s warning.
A red sunrise reflects the dust particles of a system that has just passed from the west. This indicates that a storm system may be moving to the east. If the morning sky is a deep fiery red, it means a high water content in the atmosphere. So, rain is on its way.

Red Sky At Night

Hey Sailor!

This is one of my favorite looks. I was raised in the water on multiple fishing trips with my family. While I still enjoy fishing, I just really enjoy being on the water.

This set featured here was inspired by the MAC Hey Sailor collection. One of my new "must-haves"!!
